Course Syllabi

These are the syllabi for the courses I currently teach on a regular basis. Both Introduction to Sociology and Introduction to Global Studies require me to have a broad knowledge of a wide range of social issues. The other courses are in areas where I have more specialized knowledge, though they don’t represent the limits of my areas of specialization.

Creative Assignments and Class Exercises

I conduct my classes in a way that resembles a workshop. In particular, I want students coming away with the ability to actively apply the ideas we explore to current social issues. These assignments and in-class exercises represent some of the ways I do this.
