Seeking to transition from academia to social justice advocacy, I use my scholarly knowledge, research skills, teaching experience, and expertise in social movement strategy both in my own activism and in teaching my students. Working with groups that include SEIU’s Faculty Forward, Students for International Labor Solidarity, and the Democracy Collaborative, I help fellow activists and students collaboratively identify the root causes of social injustice, design creative social policies to address these ills, develop movement-building strategies to create a better world for all, and plan workshops and other educational programs to explore all these matters.
